Board AI Snapshot:
A fast, independent read on your board's AI position
A quick, independent sense-check of what AI means for your organisation now, what the board should see, and what may need deeper examination.
The situation most boards are in
AI projects are already running. The board and management need one shared view.
Who it's for
A CEO, Chair, AFRC or equivalent committee that wants a fast, integrated, organisation-specific read on their AI position before deciding whether deeper work is justified.
The question it answers
"Based on what management and a small group of directors report today, what does AI appear to mean for this organisation now, what should the full board see, and what should be examined next?"
Your Board AI Snapshot
Six steps to clarity on your board's AI position.

Step 1 of 6
Sponsor conversation
A 30–45 minute conversation with your CEO, Chair or nominated sponsor.
Pre-assessment questionnaire
A short questionnaire, normally 30–45 minutes to complete.
Key documents review
Up to five readily available documents (e.g. strategy plan, org chart, risk register) used for orientation only.
Leadership interviews
Interviews across leadership, board, technology/adoption and risk.
Structured analysis
We analyse your AI plans using our proprietary 'AI Risk Brain', our knowledge base of risks that arise with different types of AI implementation. It finds the risks you haven't thought of.
Board-ready output & discussion
A concise Snapshot formatted to table directly at board or AFRC, plus an optional sponsor discussion.
Our Snapshot is a fast, low-cost sense check of your AI plans. It uses the same framework as our deeper governance assessments, but is based only on what you tell us. Our deeper assessments check evidence that the stated risk controls exist and that they are actually working.
What you get
The Board AI Snapshot

Where the Snapshot leads
The Snapshot ends with a clear recommendation on where deeper work would pay off, justified in the report, never a package deal decided in advance.

Questions about the Snapshot
Is this the same as a full review?
No. It reports what management and selected directors told us, not evidence we've independently tested. It exists to give you a fast view and a clear recommendation on whether deeper, evidence-based work is justified.
Who needs to be involved?
Your CEO or sponsor for the briefing, plus three further interviews across leadership, board, technology/adoption and risk perspectives. Expect roughly 3–4 hours of your organisation's time in total, plus the pre-assessment questionnaire.
What happens after the Snapshot?
We recommend a more detailed review. These reviews check evidence that the controls exist and that they are working. For example, a Board AI Snapshot only asks whether a certain policy exists. An AI Adoption Assessment would review that policy in detail and test that it is working.
